Our First Hackathon: A Resounding Success!
We are absolutely thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the Mikaelson School Club's inaugural Spring Hackathon! Over the weekend, more than 50 incredible students came together to build, design, and innovate.
The Challenge Our students were tasked with building tech solutions aimed at improving sustainability in their local communities. The energy in the room was electric as teams brainstormed ideas ranging from smart-recycling apps to energy-consumption trackers.
Key Highlights:
- 50+ Participants: Students from 4 different school chapters.
- 12 Projects Submitted: Ranging from web apps to hardware prototypes.
- Incredible Mentorship: A huge thank you to our volunteer engineers who stayed up late helping teams debug their code!
The Winning Project
Congratulations to Team Eco-Track for taking home first place! They built a beautiful dashboard that helps schools monitor and reduce their daily paper waste. We are incredibly proud of the technical depth and design quality they achieved in just 48 hours.
